KDC Outreach strives to utilize our passion
for the art of dance to reach out and make a difference in our community. We do this through fun and meaningful projects
or events that serve a number of worthwhile causes.

Congratulations on our Successful Charity Shows!
Dance for Hope II
For the second charity show, KDC chose to benefit Seattle Education Access,
a non-profit organization that is based in Seattle, WA. We raised over $2,200! Thank you to everyone who helped
make this show possible.
Poverty and homelessness profoundly limit the lives of thousands
of young people in King County. Seattle Education Access was founded in 2002 to assist marginalized, high-potential youth
and young adults in gaining entry into community colleges and/or universities and completing college degrees. We provide youth
and young adults with the resources they need to transition successfully to college, so that they can finish their educations,
leave poverty behind, and contribute to society in professional careers.
Domestic violence is the leading
cause of injury to women between the ages of 15-54. Eastside Domestic Violence Program (EDVP) started in 1981 and is the largest provider of services
for domestic violence victims in the state of Washington.
The program offers a crisis line, confidential shelters, additional safe housing in the community,
support groups, community education and trainings, and victim advocates. EDVP
is located in Bellevue and serves
North and East King County.
Dance for Hope I:
On February 25th, KDC Outreach presented
"Dance For Hope", a dance performance to raise awareness for domestic violence and funds for EDVP.
The show featured the works of choreographers, dancers and dance companies from throughout the Seattle area in all genres
of dance including Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap and others. A total of $2000 was raised for EDVP. Thank you to
everyone who supported this worthwhile cause!
