Daniel's priorities in life are food, shelter, and Breakdancing. He is self-taught (learned in a barn) and enjoy spinning on my head. Daniel has been Breakdancing for 10 years and teaching for 5. Daniel said: "I’ve learned one thing from teaching; the people who have the most fun are usually the best. If you walk into a class with me, prepare to work hard and have a blast Breakdancing!"
Two and one-half spectacular decades of teaching later, Jerri still brings the incredible lightness of ballet to her students. The loyalty of her students speaks volumes about her ability to engage, challenge and reward those who seek to unlock the pleasures of the balletic arts. From her humble beginnings in the dancing schools of Colorado, her resume has grown to include the venerated names of artist/teachers Milenko Banovitch, Jeffrey Marc Rockland, Mary Funk, Jeff Woodman, Howard Canode, Linda Murray and Jeanette Triomphe. Her extensive performance resume includes demanding roles in such varied classics as “Mountain Ballad”, “Oklahoma” and “The Nutcracker.” Her choreography has been heralded as both intuitive and edgy. Pushing the envelope with hybrid choreography of jazz, ballet and special effects brought Jerri note in such publications as Colorado Dance Alliance and Panorama. Jerri moved to the Kirkland area in 1995 and began studying with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. The circle became unbroken in 1998 when Jerri became the Ballet Mistress at THDS and now at Kirkland Dance Center. Jerri teaches ballet (Russian and Cecchetti methods) to all ages and is available for private lessons.

Jillian has 10 years of dance experience complied of jazz, high kick, pom, ballet, novelty, lyrical, modern and hip-hop. I was the captain for my high school dance team and have participated and instructed at various dance camps in Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Texas. Dance camps are an excellent way for dancers to expand their horizons and bond with other dancers. Since then, I spent the last 3 seasons as a member of the Seattle Supersonics dance team where I gratefully had the opportunity to perform in Japan as part of an NBA Asia tour, as well as Kuwait, Iraq and Germany for a U.S Military tour. I also participated as a ‘Motion Capture Talent’ for EA Sports NBA Live 09. While dancing with the Sonics, I attended school at Bellevue Community College and was member of their Eastside Moving Company. Now, I am currently attending the University of Washington as a Communications major while participating in ballet classes. I believe in giving it your all and leaving your heart on stage every time that you perform.
Mason believes that the number one reason people stop exercising is boredom. The way to avoid that is to approach exercise as a fun activity instead of just mindless work that people do to stay healthy. Aerial circus acrobatics is something that keeps people in great shape and challenges their minds in addition to their bodies. Mason is a trained yoga instructor, dedicated weight lifter, and all around athlete. Originally from Hawaii, Mason grew up in Utah and spends his days as a software engineer at Microsoft.
I started dancing at the age of 5 in Southern California, tap and ballet first, adding jazz at 10 and then pointe at 13. After moving to Washington I took a break from dancing while I swam through college and finished my swimming career at the 1996 Olympic trials. In 1998 I started dancing again in tap, ballet, jazz and irish. Since then I have added pointe, hip-hop and lyrical jazz. In Southern California I was involved in competitions and participated in many dance seminars that came through L.A. I was recently a part of the Kirkland Dance Center Adult competition team. I teach a Lyrical class and will sometimes sub other genres. In my professional career I have been a firefighter for 13 years and a paramedic for three. Its never to late to start dancing... or start dancing, again!!
Mariana Oliva
Mariana is a self taught casino dancer and instructor, born and raised in Havana, Cuba, where she learned from an early age the beauty of the casino dance. Mariana moved to the United States in 1996, and in 2005 she relocated to San Diego, California, where she founded the USCD casino club at the University of California in San Diego. There, she began teaching casino and rueda de casino to university students, a class that quickly expanded. Soon the group was performing at various events around the city. In 2006 she moved to Seattle, where she founded the Boeing Rueda de Casino. With an emphasis in diversity, this group has grown in a short time. The Boeing Rueda de Casino group performed at the Seahawks stadium in Seattle to commemorate the Hispanic Heritage month celebration in 2008, and it also performs regularly in company events within Boeing. Even though Mariana has been teaching casino for just over three years, her passion for the casino dance make her teaching a unique and contagious experience. In her own words: "Casino is all about feeling the music and having fun. It's easier to learn when you are enjoying yourself."
